Dear Coach Jackson,
My name is Stephanie Sample and I am a senior
on Slater High School's women's volleyball team in Anytown, Colorado. I am writing to request information about
your volleyball program as I am very interested in the possibility
of attending your university and contributing as a member of
your team. Both my high school volleyball coach and my
travel team coach feel I have the ability to play at the
Division II level and I am sincerely committed to pursuing an
athletic career in college.
I have enclosed my Player Profile that I hope
will give you a good idea of my athletic and academic
credentials.
As you will see I have been recognized for my
volleyball achievements throughout my high school career. Last
season I was voted the Metro Gazette's Player of the Year, Metro
County's Player of the Year, All Metro County First Team, Team
MVP, and club captain.
In the classroom, I am currently Vice President
of the Mathematics Honor Society and Vice President of the
Spanish Club. I carry a 3.95 career GPA and I scored a 31
on my October ACT.
I am confident I can contribute proudly to both
your volleyball and academic programs and I look forward to
