February is Financial Awareness Month

Since even in-state college costs often total more than $70,000 over four years and some private school costs may exceed $200,000, financial aid is an important and relevant topic - especially at this time of year and especially in this economy.

Questions to Ask College Coaches

If you are a high school senior and remain undecided about where you'll be going to college, this is the time of year to step up the intensity of your college search.  Contact the coaches at the schools you are most interested in.  Update your Player Profile and resume. Update your most recent academic and athletic statistics.  Update your upcoming season schedule.  Then send them to the coach by email and follow up with a phone call to the coach.

When you talk to the coach, make it a two-way conversation by being prepared and asking lots of your own questions.  The attached list of Questions to Ask College Coaches will help you prepare for the call.
