Summer Training Program

The attached 10 week summer training program provides a workout schedule to help build your strength and stamina over the summer, and to help prepare you for your school’s upcoming fall season.  This workout focuses only on running and cardio drills so it is important that you also supplement it with applicable drills for your specific sport.  If you have a program that your high school or college coach has already given you, stick to it instead.  If you don’t have another program, the following can be used as a base program to help you stay in shape and prepare.     

Pay particular attention to the timing of the program as it is builds toward a peak about two-thirds of the way through, then reduces slightly as you close in on your fall season.  Since it is already June and this program is a ten week program, there is little time to delay in starting your program.  Finally be aware that this program been developed for high school seniors to help them prepare for their college freshman year.  It is recommended that younger subscribers review the outlined program with their own club or high school coaches and adjust the requirements to their own specifications and age.  Be certain to drink plenty of fluids between activities and adjust them as necessary during extreme temperatures.
